BYM Vision Statement:
The purpose of BICF Youth Ministry is to help students authentically ENCOUNTER Christ, meaningfully ENGAGE with the larger community of faith,
and accurately EXPRESS God’s greatness to the world both near and far.
ENCOUNTER: We encounter Christ through expressions of worship and discipleship.
ENGAGE: We engage with the larger community of faith by actively participating in congregational worship services, small group meetings, and strategically planned large group meetings (Camp, Worship Night, etc), and by developing healthy relationships with other believers, both young and old, throughout the week.
EXPRESS: We express the greatness of God by exemplifying the change that Christ can make in a person, sharing Christ with the lost, and serving the world around us.
We believe Every follower of Jesus needs three “groups” in life. We need:
- a BIG group (Psalm 22:22-31)
- a SMALL group (Acts 2:42-47)
- a NO group (Matthew 8:18–22)
Big groups represent the larger worship gatherings at BICF — where old and young, young and old, married and singles, and people from various nationalities and cultures come together for cooperate worship. Big groups provide us moments where our lives are transformed.
Small groups are more focused in nature. Think of our women’s groups, MOPS, worship teams, ushers and greeters, Bible studies, home groups, etc. The variety of people may not be as great as the big group, but the focus is more intense. Small groups provide the mix of faith and action we need to see our lives transformed.
The NO group is just a creative way to stress the need for all Jesus-Followers to maintain certain life-habits. It’s the simple things we do when no one is watching — reading our Bible, spending time in prayer, making positive entertainment choices — that make up
this “no” group. Our “NO” group provides the momentum of daily choices so our lives are continually transformed.
We all need (including our teens) this combination of the big group, small group, and no group to see the full life-transformation Jesus want to bring us.
We are always looking for youth volunteers. If you are interested in helping serve in this capacity please contact us here.

Here at BICF we believe that growth best happens in community, thus small groups are a vital part of who we are. All of our students are encouraged to attend a weekly small group and engage with God through the word and prayer. BICF currently offers the following weekly small groups.
